Mission Statement
Born to Love. Live to do.
At the heart of all we do and all we aspire to, are the tenets of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and the Khalsa heritage.
We have a whole school approach to safeguarding, which is the golden thread that runs throughout every aspect of the school. All our school policies support this policy. Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is defined as: protecting children from maltreatment; preventing impairment of children’s health or development; ensuring that children grow up in circumstances consistent with the provision of safe and effective care; and taking action to enable all children to have the best outcomes.
Through our forward-thinking curriculum, we teach children to be global leaders and citizens with a global perspective. Our teachers encourage the highest standards of learning and allow our children to explore their talents and develop their knowledge - we actively encourage problem-solving, critical self-reflection and independent thinking.
We aim to prepare children for both secondary education and life-long learning with our unparalleled focus on spiritual, moral, mental development and resilience. As a Sikh school, we cultivate an immense love for the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji as well as a love for learning. We take pride in developing our children into happy, confident and independent Sikhs, ready to meet the challenges of their senior schools.
We have high expectations of our children and our mission is to raise them to become leaders, high achievers, and lifelong learners. Our children will have a deep-rooted understanding of the pedagogy of simran and seva according to the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
Throughout their time at The Sikh Heritage Girls School, we actively encourage children to develop proactive, positive and strong family links. This will be key to a cohesive approach to a child’s development achievement. Alongside this, we aim to foster a nurturing environment where children show each other high levels of courtesy and respect – both during learning time and during recreational time.
