Fees

We aim to keep our fees as competitive as possible while maintaining the small classes, specialist provision and breadth of opportunity that form part of an SHGS education.

What is Included

Fees cover the normal school curriculum together with most books and stationery. Our core provision includes the academic curriculum and the wider experiences described across our website.

Additional Costs

Some items are charged separately and may include:

  • uniform;

  • school laptops where applicable;

  • additional private instrumental tuition, such as piano or guitar;

  • some trips, clubs or specialist activities;

  • examination or assessment charges where applicable;

  • specialist diagnostic assessments or reports;

  • replacement of lost or damaged school property beyond reasonable wear and tear.

Families will always be informed where an additional charge applies.

Payment of Fees

Fees are charged termly and are due by the first day of each term. Payment may be made by bank transfer or another method agreed by the school.

Where agreed in advance, fees may be paid by instalments. Families wishing to discuss an instalment arrangement should contact the school office.

Fees and extras are not normally reduced or refunded because of pupil absence or changes to the length or delivery of a school term. Full arrangements relating to fees, payment and notice are set out in the school's Parent Contract and Fees Policy.

We do not currently accept childcare vouchers towards school fees.
